Manage the party groups, tags and towns

The Party setup page has three tabs: Groups, Tags and Towns. You must have the Manage party groups, tags and towns permission to change the lists.

Groups

A group is for customers or for suppliers, for example "Wholesalers" or "Importers". A role has one group or none. In a later release, a group gives defaults to its parties, for example a price list and payment terms.

1. Select New group.
2. Select the role in For. Type the Name.
3. Select Save.

To stop the use of a group, change the group and clear The group is active. The parties keep the group.

Tags

A party can have many tags. Use tags to find parties, for example all the parties with the tags "Wholesaler" and "Importer". Refer to Find the parties.

A user who can add or change parties can add a tag while they type. Capital and small letters are the same tag. The product removes the spaces at the start and at the end, and makes two spaces one space.

When you delete a tag, the tag goes from the list and from all the parties that have it.

Towns

The product has the towns of Pakistan. Add a town here only when the list does not have it. The town is for your workspace only. A town of the product list cannot be added again.
