Collect cash on a phone

The Collect cash page is for a field agent. The agent visits the customers, receives cash and records each receipt on a phone. Each receipt goes into the agent's own cash register.

You see this page when you have an agent register in the company and the Create receipts permission. On a phone, the page opens after you sign in. On a computer, select Cash and bank › Collect cash.

The top of the page

The top shows the name of your cash register and its balance. It also shows the number and the total of your receipts today.

Find a customer

  1. In Find a customer, type a part of the name, the code, the phone number or the area of the customer.
  2. Select the customer in the list.

The list shows only the customers of your areas. Without a search text, the list shows the customers of your last receipts.

The customer card

The card shows:

Receive cash

Caution: A receipt posts at once. You cannot change it or delete it. Check the customer and the amount before you confirm.

  1. Type the Amount received. The amount in words shows under the field.
  2. Type a Note if necessary.
  3. Select Receive and post.
  4. Check the customer, the amount and the new balance. Select Receive and post again to confirm.

The receipt gets its number (for example RV-2627-000001). It settles the oldest open items of the customer first.

Record cash only. When a customer gives you a cheque, give the cheque to the office. The office records it as a receipt into the bank account.

If the network is slow, select the button one time only and wait. If you select it again, the product does not record a second receipt.

Give the receipt to the customer

After the posting, select:

Select Next customer to receive from another customer.

Your receipts today

The list at the end of the page shows your receipts of today. Select a receipt to open its PDF.

A mistake in a receipt

You cannot reverse a receipt. Tell the office. The office reverses the receipt and you record a new receipt. Refer to Record a receipt.

Hand over the cash

At the end of the day, give the cash to the cashier. The cashier records a transfer from your register to the main register. Refer to Cash registers.
