See the background tasks
The system does some work for the workspace in the background. Examples are the automatic posting of drafts, the imports and the large report files. The Background tasks page shows these tasks, the newest task first. You must have the View background tasks permission.
What the page shows
- The name of the task, and its company. A task without a company is for the whole workspace.
- The time when the task started, and how long it ran.
- The status: Waiting, Running, Done, Failed, Dead or Cancelled.
- The counts of the task, for example Posted and Not posted for the automatic posting.
A task that a user asked for (an import or an export) shows "A user asked for it". The page does not show who.
A user with the permission for the whole workspace sees all the tasks. A user with the permission for a company sees the tasks of that company.
Find a task
- Select a Company, a Status or a Time.
- The list shows the tasks that agree with the selections.
- Select Show more to see older tasks.
When a task fails
The system tries a failed task again a small number of times. When a task stops and does not run again, each workspace administrator gets a notice. If the automatic posting fails, the drafts stay. Contact the support of the product.
